In July of 2011, J&A commenced work on a project on the rim of the Cleveland National Forest in Pine Valley called "The Pine Valley Lodge". The lodge had been the center piece of this quaint village retreat and tourist attraction since the 50's. Mr James designed a system to retro-fit an existing hot asphalt and rock roof that saved the HOA and provided the look of shingles on a roof with inadequate slope for shingles by overlaying the roof with a .50 mil PVC roof by Duro-Last with a shingle print (shingle ply). By not tearing off, they saved the expense of replacing their Poly ISO Foam insulation R-value of 10 and was the first approved application of Duro Last to install shingle ply in San Diego.
